Job Description / Responsibility

• Technical Manager is responsible for all aspects of the technical operation of Tiles and Sanitary ware manufacturing plant. He provides technical expertise and support to all Technicians, engineers and supervisors for the efficient, safe and economical use of resources and staff, within existing legislation. The Technical Manager will work with the plant Manager to embed sustainable and environmentally-friendly working practices operations and planning.
• To plan and manage all aspects of all the plants technical operation.
• To ensure that the technical operation of all the pants is always safe and complies with current legislation and industry standards.
• To ensure a consistently high standard of technical support to Technicians, Engineers and Supervisors.
• To liaise and plan in advance with plant manager for maintenance schedule.
• Lead or assist as required for technical support of technicians, engineers, supervisors and staff.
• To supervise and direct the work of maintenance, ensuring that all Technicians are adequately trained and/or supervised for the work they are carrying out.
• To liaise and coordinate with other department or section of the plant and head office as and when required.
• To maintain and develop as appropriate Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and Fire logs.
• To provide technical support and guidance, including maintenance, operation and logistic support.
• To provide technical support, guidance and supervision to the plant maintenance schedule.
• To support plant technical persons in developing their technical capabilities and production standards.
• To undertake general building and facilities maintenance as required.
• To ensure that all the plants equipment?s is properly maintained in good working order, that equipment is regularly tested and that replacement equipment and stock is ordered as needed.

Educational Requirements

B.Sc. in Ceramic Engineering or Ceramic Technology or related degree with emphasis in ceramics technique from any reputed university.

Experience Requirements

• 8 to 10 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
  Machine Operator, Maintenance, Engineering, Operation, Quality, R & D
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Tiles/Ceramic

Additional Job Requirements

• Age 35 to 40 year(s)
• Only males are allowed to apply.
• Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
• Efficient in MS Office, Excel and Internet usage.
• Should be elegant, energetic & have pleasant personality.
• Fluent in English, Bengali and Hindi.
• Dynamic, self-motivated and excellent in inter personal skill
• Experience of serving at similar position in ceramic company and related field will be an additional advantage.
